(This review is for the Anniversary Sale Gift edition)
Poster arrived separate from my order in its own tube. The outside was affixed with a popsicle stick and a rubber band to hold it in place. This prevented the tube from rolling around during shipment, avoiding damage or misplacement. Genius!
Opening the tube, the poster was rolled up layered with tissue paper. I imagine it helped prevent scratches or marring of the printed surface, in addition to making me feel like I was unwrapping a special birthday gift. (Thank you for the unexpected blorp of dopamine, Threyda.)
Onto the poster itself: Woah, it's shiny! The design is predominantly matte-finished black, so the glossy bits and holo paper underneath *really* stand out. The teal & purple really pop against the background. In short, this is an insanely high quality print. Zero exaggeration when I say that this makes many art prints from museum gift shops look like actual garbage. The design looks sharp and futuristic and fever-dreamy, in the very best way. Photos on the site really don't do it justice to how it looks in person. My partner, who is not into this stuff, immediately said, "Yeah, we're hanging this up. That is rad."
I don't know what else to say, other than you should get this. You will not be disappointed in any way.
Thanks for coming to my TED talk! :D
