Join me for a workshop centered on improving your understanding of depth, contrast, and color. We will complete a small visionary painting over two days that brings all of these skill sets to the next level, inspiring you to apply the techniques to your own unique vision. This is the perfect workshop for artists who are looking to create deep, rich colors that truly draw their audience in. And we will work on the techniques - both dramatic and subtle - that will help make your visionary world truly captivating. 

• Even though I am an oil painter, I will likely do this workshop in acrylic because it is a two day… And we won't have a lot of time to let the paintings optimally dry between painting steps the way that would be ideal for the oil medium. 

• I suggest acrylic paint in the following colors: Titanium white, lemon yellow, cadmium yellow, cadmium orange, cadmium red, alizarin crimson, quinacridone magenta, ultramarine violet, periwinkle, ultramarine blue, pthalo blue, teal or turquoise, veridian green, sap green, burnt umber, burnt sienna, ochre yellow. 

• Set of Paintbrushes in varied sizes ( 4/0 to 14 or so), flats, rounds, filberts, or angleds. (I prefer flats and angleds)

• A prepared surface for painting, up to the participant, but suggested size is 11 x 14". 

• Sealable pallete, pallete sponge, spray bottle, and acrylic retarder if desired

• Painting rags, aprons if desired.

• Sketchbook, sketch pencils.
