I pursue the archaic or "shamanic" methods of art making. My paintings literally reflect the meta-pathologies and archetypes that ghost through dimensions, like mirrors of context and consciousness. Shamanic painting bridges the immediacy of abstract expressionism with the refined development of classical rendering. Each artwork becomes a record-artifact of psychedellic invocation and exorcism.
Shamanic painting converts the deafening static of abstract reality into applicable visual information; this is it's great value. It is a method to express the forces that compose us and that impose upon us, and from there we can make choices about how to live with greater awareness. Continually refined perception, holistic expression, and idealism define my practice.

"The necessary essence of art is love. The true artist is a sacred performer. The true artist must do the magick that causes others to participate in conditional reality in the sacred sense, or the sense of love, in the sense of self-transcendence, in the sense of ecstas" - - Avatar Adi Da |

I find a certain type of sanity in the insanity of details. I recently found a place to call home in the wonderful city called, Portland, Oregon.
But I was born naked and poor in the Motor City.I have been building art for 25 years in my mind.Been physically constructing it for the last 5 years.I am inspired by everything from the Majetic Sombrero to Graffiti. Skateboarding has formed me into the person I was born to be. Art has just allowed me express everything I cannot put into words. I hope to create until I depart, I hope to inspire forever. |

Matt Entenmann has been working with borosilicate glass since 1996. Matt has a very keen eye for color combinations patterns and combining multiple aesthetic designs into a single piece. In our opinion, he is a master of forms and shows remarkable control over shape and symmetry in all of his work. |
